Gardens-to-Go

Gardens-to-Go, a subdivision of So Mulch More, is a hands-on educational program for targeted populations, such as schools and health facilities. Specializing in therapeutic and instructive horticulture programs, Linda and Julie created Gardens-to-Go to try to bring gardens and gardening to a wider segment of the population.
After designing a garden for Bet Torah in Mount Kisco, Linda and Julie began working with children in the pre-school program. For the past few years, they have taught them how to plant flowers in the garden, something the children both look forward to and enjoy.
At Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, Julie and Linda transformed an outdoor smoking area into a horticultural paradise for patients. Teaming up with the hospital's rehabilitation staff, they have run gardening programs for patients undergoing physical and occupational therapy. Their work at the hospital was featured in The Bedford Record-Review in 2010.
